NGA winner Keegan Bradley posts career-best Nationwide finish; Fellow NGA winner Vaughn Taylor earns fifth top-10 of season on PGA Tour
Longs, SC—Keegan Bradley, who won the NGA Hooters Tour’s Texas Honing Open last year, shot a 23-under par 262 in the Ford Wayne Gretzky Classic en route to a career-best second-place finish on the Nationwide Tour. Bradley, who made 26 starts in two years on the NGA Hooters Tour, led a group of four past NGA players that nabbed top-10 finishes at the Georgian Bay Club in Clarksburg, Ontario, Canada.
Darron Stiles, who played on the NGA Hooters Tour in 1996 and 1998, finished in a tie for seventh alongside former NGA player David Branshaw. Kyle Thompson, who played on the NGA Hooters Tour in 2002, completed the foursome with a 10th place effort.
All told, over 80 current and past NGA Hooters Tour players teed it up the event. Even more impressive is the fact that nearly 40 percent of them finished in the money.
The PGA Tour’s John Deere Classic was also chock-full of past NGA Hooters Tour players. Shaun Micheel, who played on the NGA Hooters Tour in 1995, led a group of four former NGA players that posted top-10 finishes at TPC Deere Run.
Micheel carded a 19-under 265 for a fourth-place finish in the PGA event. Vaughn Taylor, the 1999 NGA Hooters Tour Rookie of the Year and 4-time NGA winner, finished with a 16-under 268 total to grab his fifth top-10 of the season. Brendon de Jonge, who played on the NGA Hooters Tour in 2005 and 2006, finished seventh, while Brett Quigley, who played on the NGA Hooters Tour in 1995, earned a 10th place finish.
Sixty former NGA Hooters Tour players were in the PGA field and over 40 percent were around for Sunday’s finish with an incredible seven former NGA golfers inside the top-15.

All told, the NGA Hooters Tour’s alumni have an incredible 11 “Majors” to their credit. The NGA Hooters Tour has helped hundreds of professionals acquire their PGA, Senior PGA, and Nationwide Tour cards. In fact, 48% of the players that earned their 2010 PGA Tour card, and 53% of the players that earned full exempt status on the Nationwide Tour started their careers on the NGA Hooters Tour.
