News >> NGA Hooters Tour Announces Venue Change

Longs, SC—The NGA Hooters Tour announced today that the 15th event of the 2010 season, scheduled for the week of August 9th thru 15th, will be moved from Callaway Gardens to Overlook Golf Links in LaGrange, Ga.

“Due to issues beyond our control and that of Callaway Gardens, we felt it was best for all parties involved to postpone the Callaway Gardens event to a future date, possibly sometime later this season,” said Robin L. Waters, President of the NGA Hooters Golf Tour. “The replacement venue for the week will be Overlook Golf Links in LaGrange, Ga., where we’ve cosponsored a midseason pro-am benefiting the Chattahoochee Hospice Foundation for the past 10 years. It will make a great event, which is already extremely popular with our professionals, an even better one.”

Overlook Golf Links sits on the highest point in Troup Country, Ga. The 18-hole course features Champion Ultra Dwarf Bermuda greens and a Scottish links layout. The course is located approximately 30 to 40 minutes west of Atlanta, Ga.
