The PGM Classic At Perdido Bay Golf and Lodging
Perdido Bay Golf Club
March 23-26, 2006

Perdido, FL (March 26, 2006)…Travis Nance (Milton, FL) fired a one-under par 71 in the final round of the PGM Classic at Perdido Bay Golf and Lodging over the 7072 yard, par 72 Perdido Bay Golf Club to garner his first ever Hooters Tour title.
“I had to deal with a lot of personal and health issues during the off season and to get a win today helps put things in perspective for me,” said the twenty-eight year old Nance.
The local touring pro fired rounds of 67-71-68-71 for a four day total of eleven-under par 277, including an eight foot putt on the eighteenth hole for par, and one stroke victory over Bruce McDonald (Zimbabwe, South Africa) and David Denham (St. Simons Island, GA).
“I stuck to the same routine on the par putt on the final hole, which is what most people don’t do in that situation, most people will try and do something out of their routine and it will mess with their mind” said Nance.
Nance collects his Hooters Tour best $21,483 for the win, while McDonald and Denham take home $8,907.00 for their second place finish.
Nick Rousey (Pensacola) and Boo Weekly (Jay) rounded out the local contingent in the PGM Classic finishing T13 at five-under par 283 for the tournament. The pair collects $1,975.65 for their performance this week.
The NGA Hooters Tour takes a week off before heading back into action in the NGA Hooters Tour Classic at Royal Lakes Golf and CC in Atlanta, Georgia April 3-9.
