Calabash, NC (November 19, 2009)…Brian Bergstol (Mt. Bethel, PA) posted thirteen under par 203 to capture his first professional win at the NGA/Hooters Carolina Winter Series event at Meadowlands Golf Club. Bergstol, 24, posted round of 70-67-66 en route to a three stroke win over Tony Parrish (North Myrtle Beach, SC) who finished at ten under par 206 while Matthew Bryant (Columbia, SC) finished in solo 3rd at nine under par 207.
Bergstol takes home $3,500 for the win while Parrish receives $1,750 for his solo runner up finish.
The Top 5 members on the 2009 Carolina Winter Series money list leaders will earn full exempt status on the 2010 NGA/Hooters Tour Pro Series.
Next up, The Carolina Winter Series travels to Crow Creek Golf Club in Calabash, NC, December 1-3, 2009, for the 4th event in the series of twelve.
