Longs, SC (October 16, 2009)…The National Golf Association’s Hooters Professional golf tour announced today information for the 2010 season and schedule for 2010 Ranking Schools.

Recognized as the #1 fulltime 72-hole TOUR in the US for preparing players for playing careers on the PGA or Nationwide Tours.

The NGA Hooters Tour has proven year after year to be the most rewarding avenue for players to display and develop their skills while competing in an extremely competitive atmosphere. With Naturally Fresh Foods, Hooters Restaurants, Anheuser-Busch, Bridgestone, and Pepsi sponsorship, to name a few, we provide not only a credible and competitive place to play, but also a potentially financially rewarding opportunity as well. The 2010 season will be the best to date with 105% of member entry fees being paid out to the top 70 and ties ($200,000 Guaranteed purses).

The NGA Hooters Tour is the only Tour in the country, besides the PGA and Nationwide Tours, to offer a full week of activities that include 72-hole (36-hole cut) tournaments, free practice rounds, free Pepsi sponsored beverages and snacks each week, free Bridgestone range balls, paid participant pro-ams, junior clinics, long drive contests and shootouts. The Hooters Tour provides players the opportunity to experience all aspects of life as a true touring golf professional. The schedule is structured around geographical series and different varieties of championship golf courses.
For the 2010 season, the NGA Hooters Tour will again conduct Ranking Schools in order to establish players ranking order. Any player signing up for the 2010 Ranking Schools automatically becomes a member of the NGA Hooters Tour and will be given a “ranking number” based on their performance at the Ranking School.

Similar to the Nationwide Tour, the NGA Hooters Tour will re-shuffle conditional players based on earnings during the 2010 season after each event.  Non-exempt members will be re-shuffled based on earnings after each event.

The NGA Hooters Tour prides itself on running only professional 72-hole events with a knowledgeable staff who are PGA and USGA certified Tournament Officials. As evidenced by the success of our Alumni, The NGA Hooters Tour is a proven avenue to the PGA and Nationwide Tours. To Quote 2007 Masters Champion Zach Johnson, “The Hooters Tour prepares you for life on the Nationwide and PGA Tours. The level of competition is 2nd to none.”
