MacKellar Takes Win With 60

Poinciana, FL (December 6, 2007)…Bryant MacKellar (Fairhope, AL) carded a course record twelve-under par 60 in the final round of The Hooters Tour’s Bridgestone Winter Series over the 6760 yard, par 72 Cypress Course at the StoneGate @ Solivita Golf Club to earn his first Winter Series victory.
MacKellar, the 1997 SEC champion from Auburn University, carded rounds of 71-69-60 for a three day total of sixteen-under par 200 and a two stroke victory over Brad Klapprott (Mulberry, FL). Klapprott closed with a six-under par 66 for a three day total of fourteen-under par 202.
MacKellar takes home $12,000 for his first win, while Klapprott takes home $5,952 for his runner-up finish.
The Bridgestone Winter Series heads to Southern Dunes Golf and Country Club next week for the final event before a break for the holidays.
