Who Let The Dawg Out

The Dothan Classic
Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Highland Oaks
August 23-26, 2007

Dothan, AL (August 26, 2007)…Brendon Todd (Atlanta, GA) fired an even par 72 in Sunday’s final round of The Dothan Classic over the 7591 yard, par 72 Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Highland Oaks to capture his first ever Hooters Tour title.

“It feels great to win obviously,” said the twenty-two year old. “It is nice to play well and it feels good to come to an established Tour like the Hooters Tour with all these good players and be able to play well.”

The recent Georgia graduate fired rounds of 68-65-68-72 for a four day total of fifteen-under par 203 and a convincing five stroke victory over four-time Alabama Open Champion Todd Bailey (Spanish Fort) and Josh Teater (Lexington, KY). Bailey and Teater both fired one-under par 71’s Sunday afternoon to finish at ten-under par 278.

“Coming out of college I felt like I was going to play well because I had a really solid senior season at Georgia but to come out here and win twice in a matter of three weeks is just great,” said the All-American. “I putted really well when I won the Tarheel event and I putted great again this week.”

Andrew Medley (Athens) headed up the remainder of the Alabama contingent in The Dothan Classic after carding a four day total of seven-under par 281. Daphne’s David Miller finished the week at four-under par 284, while Chris Devlin (Birmingham) finished at one-under par 287.

Todd collects a career best $33,566 for his first ever Hooters title, while Bailey and Teater take home $13,890 for their runner-up finishes.

The Hooters Tour takes a week off before swinging back into action September 3-9 in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for the Michelob Ultra Classic at River Hills.
