DeJohn survives weather, Yamamoto for 1st NGA win-
North Myrtle Beach, S.C. - February 16, 2012 - With conditions rapidly deteriorating in the final round of the NGA Pro Golf Tour Carolina Winter Series event at Barefoot Resort, second-round leader Chris DeJohn knew his lead would be hard to overcome, unless he helped with a few mistakes. For the most part, he didn’t.
Despite carding a double bogey on the final hole of regulation, the former Skidmore College All-American shot 1-over 72 on the Fazio Course to earn his first NGA victory on Thursday.
“I knew I had a two-shot lead in my group and with the conditions worsening all day long and the final round course setup, I did not think anyone out of our group could catch us,” said DeJohn, who earned $4,230. “I had a little bit of a stumble on 18, but I decided to play the par-4 like a par-5.”
Even with the final-hole blemish, DeJohn finished with rounds of 66-68-72 for a 7-under 206 total, three shots ahead of runner-up Yoshio Yamamoto.
“I putted well all week, but I putted great on the backside each day.” said DeJohn. “I got a tip after playing the practice round from my instructor, Bill Whaley. I worked on it and it paid off in the end.”

NGA'ers narrowly miss weekend sweep-
Northern Trust Open: Former NGA Pro Golf Tour member Keegan Bradley missed winning his third PGA event in less than a year by the smallest of margins on Sunday.
Bradley, who won on Pro Series and Bridgestone Winter Series in 2009, earned his way into a playoff with a birdie on the final hole the Northern Trust Open. Playing with Phil Mickleson and Bill Haas in the sudden-death playoff, Bradley had a chance to end the tournament on the first extra hole, but his birdie putt slipped agonizingly past the cup. On the second hole, Bradley appeared to be in position win the tournament again, but Hass drained a 45-foot birdie and Bradley couldn’t convert his birdie try.
Although he was unable to earn the victory, Bradley, who finished at 7-under par, made huge gains in the FedExCup standings, moving from 24th to fifth with his best finish of the season.
Alum Jim Furyk, the 2010 FedExCup winner, carded a 1-under 70 at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., to move into a tie for 11th at 3-under par. Bubba Watson, a former NGA Tour winner, finished T13 at 2-under par.

Final-Round 66 helps Clemson alum earn 2nd CWS win-
North Myrtle Beach, S.C. - February 9, 2012 - What looked to be shaping up as an ACC battle in the final round of the NGA Pro Golf Tour’s Carolina Winter Series event turned out to be a victory lap for Brian Duncan instead.
Duncan, a Clemson University alumnus, started the day one shot clear of former Georgia Tech All-American Chesson Hadley, but the former Tiger pulled away with a tournament-low 66 on the Love Course at Barefoot Resort to win the CWS event by five strokes.
“I made a mistake during the (Carolina Summer Series) when I had the 36-hole lead at Wildewood,” said Duncan, who carded rounds of 67-69-66 for a 14-under 202 total. “I found myself in a match-play mentality and was caught from behind by Zack Byrd. I wasn’t going to make that mistake again.”
The pedal-to-the-floor mindset paid off early in the final round as Duncan ran off four birdies over the first six holes to pull away from Hadley. Duncan added two more birdies on the backside and avoided any blemishes on his scorecard in the final round to easily secure his second career CWS victory, which came just one week after a missed cut on the Dye Course.
